Hillier Road

This is a property project on Hillier Road, conveniently located close to the chic Northcote Road, Clapham Junction, Clapham Common and Wandsworth Common.

The project was an extension with a contemporary architectonic touch, responding mainly to the need of creating a more clear, accessible and airy living space. First priority was a new and expanded sense and use of light and space – the extension feels more spacious. A glass strip was added to the original roof to punctuate this sentiment.

A larger kitchen area is made available through a new glass extension component to the rear area which combines the kitchen with the dining area resulting in a more contemporary living space. The glass extension is multi-purpose: it also serves as an opening towards the garden, effectively rendering the garden as an integral part of the indoor space.
